Action Akton Polymer Adaptive Cube Pads are true gel cushions that provide excellent pressure relief, reduce shear and increase comfort for wheelchair users. Constructed of Akton polymer, these true gel pads will not leak, flow, or bottom out, and are tissue equivalent. The pads are designed to move with the skin, not against it, to reduce pressure and shear, the two leading causes of pressure sores. Unlike liquid gel cushions, the Akton polymer does not migrate or bottom out. Akton Polymer Adaptive Cube Pads do not require pumps, electricity or special training to use. The pads do not support microbiological growth, will not absorb body fluids or odors, and are easy to clean with standard disinfectant. Pressure relieving Adaptive Cube Pads are available in varying sizes and thickness to accommodate individual needs. Adaptive Cube Gel Pads are made from 100% Akton Polymer. The cube pattern is designed to provide increased air flow. The pads have multi-functional applications for traditional and non-traditional seating challenges. These cubed pads can be cut up to be used for protection on arm pads, foot plates, head rests or leg rests, and splint or brace applications. This is a non-returnable hygiene item.
