Wheelchair Ball Grip Brake Extensions measure 12 inches long overall and add 10 inches to the existing wheelchair brakes. This pair of wheelchair brake extensions makes reaching wheelchair brakes easy and reduces the need for bending. Constructed of durable steel tubing 5/8 inch round tubing with a soft rubber ball grip handle that measures 2.5 inches in diameter. The ball colors vary in red, blue, green, and yellow. These extensions help individuals with weak hands or limited mobility by increasing leverage when operating wheelchair brakes. The flattened end fits over the standard metal brake locks and the slot opening measures slightly under 3/4 inch wide and 1/4 inch long. Depending on the orientation of the wheelchair brake, these extensions may add additional width to the chair. Simply remove the wheel lock tip on the chair, slide the extension over the wheel lock handle, push forward to engage the wheel lock, and pull back to release.
